Forever Grateful

The Girl Who Escaped to the MountainsA Memoir of Survival and Faith

Barbara Grace

Before Barbara Grace knew how to name loss, she had already learned to live with it.

Her mother died when Barbara was two, leaving a silence that followed her through poverty, instability, bullying, abuse, motherhood, and painful seasons within her family. Yet through every chapter, one truth remained: God never let her go.

About the Author

Barbara Grace writes from Oregon's coastal mountains, where she has built a life rooted in family, faith, and gratitude.

She is a mother, a grandmother, and a real estate professional who treasures life with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. After surviving early loss, poverty, abuse, and years of family hardship, she began writing to encourage women who feel forgotten or trapped by their past.

Her debut memoir tells the truth about trauma without bitterness or sensationalism. Through honest storytelling and naturally woven faith, she hopes to remind readers that healing can take time, that God's answers may arrive differently than expected, and that pain does not have to have the final word.

Readers can expect honest, compassionate stories of survival, faith, and healing that never deny the pain but always leave room for hope.
